We have a new exciting job opportunity come up within our UK Events Team, for a challenge events coordinator.
The role is to assist the UK Events Director to plan and manage your own portfolio of UK based challenge events. You will be working within a team covering all details regards the creation, planning and delivery of a wide selection of charitable and corporate challenge events.
The candidate must capable of managing projects, be able to walk and cycle for challenge route planning work, must have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, be physically able to manoeuvre equipment when necessary and will need a high level of logistical ability. A flexible working attitude, conscientiousness, good sense of humour and excellent attention to detail is essential.
Terms and Conditions
Hours – 9 to 5.30 with some out of hours and weekend work, especially during the summer season. Leave entitlement – 20 days (restricted during peak periods).
Main Office Functions
Planning and delivery of UK event series including:-
- All correspondence and liaising with authorities and landowners
- Liaison and negotiation with suppliers
- Collating elements of the logistical planning information
- Liaison with customers
- Preparation of presentation materials
- Making site visits, attending meetings and creating working planning documents
- Assisting the UK Event Director with all other aspects of planning and running the UK event series.
Salary:
Basic salary £18K plus additional weekend work
Out of hours work is part of the job and included in the basic salary, however there is an additional basic daily rate for working on events on weekends. All expenses incurred while on ATD business are reimbursed.
